Nursing Homes Blame War on Drugs For Long Med Wait Times - News Talk 97.5FM and 1360AM

The sick and dying suffer once again, all for the children.

Nursing Homes Blame War on Drugs For Long Med Wait Times - News Talk 97.5FM and 1360AM: "Nursing home operators say their residents must wait too long to get some of the medicines they need -- and they blame the nation's war on drugs. U.S. Senate Democrat Herb Kohl of Wisconsin held a recent hearing on the matter, as chairman of the Special Committee on Aging. He was told that patients suffer unnecessary pain because of the delays in approving their medicines. Menasha nursing home operator Michael Schanke says the 40-year-old Controlled Substances Act should be updated. He said the Drug Enforcement Administration requires doctors to be at the residents 'beck and call,' and that's not always the case."

What makes us think that the government REALLY cares!!! The DEA has had their nose right in the middle of medical practice. Especially the practice of those, doctors, who serve poor pain patients. This is a prime example of the law enforcement types, impeding the care of chronic pain patients! Where did they get their MD degree?! Does not matter, They have the guns and the ability to put the doctors in prison!

Takes a, real, group of brave police officers to march into a doctor's office, with guns drawn! What do they think? the patients and doctors are going to shoot them? What a bunch of pansies! It looks more like it is much safer to grab the low hanging fruit! I would bet it is pretty safe to say that the likelihood of doctors' office shootouts are not a real, likely, threat to the cops!

Corruption is rampant, at all levels of medical care, with the game playing, to see who can get the biggest payment, from the government, under the present "law". But the government does not care about the creative billing, as long as they are the good ole boys doing the corrupt stuff!

Sorry, just had to rant some today!
